I was looking at dealextreme.com's website and saw this:

TopToy DSTT Multimedia Card for NDS and NDS Lite (Supports SDHC)

Under $7 shipped... although I'm not sure of the currency, I think it's USD?

Is this a good product to get if I simply want to play my backup games? Are they a good website to deal with? Anybody had any good or bad experiences with them?

dealextreme are a good webite to deal with - delivery 2-3 weeks on most things.

However be very aware that there are a lot of fake DSTT cards around - inc at dealextreme at times. If you get a fake then the latest firmware will block it, you can then go through a process to reverse the blocking but not ideal for ease of use.

Also avoid anything with R4 in the title, there are currently 11 of these!

There are other good options and the DSTT is - if you can get a real one.

If you want something reliable with regular updates then best advise is to look elsewhere!

What should I be getting then? And from where?

I have ordered 2 different orders of DSTT from DX. This is the real one they sell http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15613~r.46313531 The other ones they sell have a different SKU# and are fake but they make firmware for the fake ones also that is updated.

Both the orders I got were the real ones I double checked. For $7 its worth a try.

This might be a stupid question, but how would I tell if it's real or not? And is this all I need to play the backup games? (besides the micro sd card and the .nds files of course)

You get what you pay for. I love DX but from the posts I've seen you do stand a chace of getting a fake or non-working one. Add that to the 2+ week delivery time and ask yourself "are you really saving money?

If you are in the US, I recommend RealHotStuff. Prices are a little higher but products are shipped quickly and the seller s reliable (I've ordered 15 flashcarts from them with NO problems).

If you are stuck on the DSTT, that's my recommendation. If you want the "cadillac" and are willing/able to pay for it, I suggest getting the CycloDS and you won't have to worry about any problems at all.

I'm in Canada. I've heard good things about the CycloDS but can't find a good place to buy it. Any suggestions? I don't really want to get into paying duties/taxes on it by crossing the border from the US, but I will if I have to.

The main reason I was thinking of the TopToy DSTT is because it's cheap and under $20 so it would come in tax and duty free.

i bought quite a lot of edge ds for friends and family at christmas and all working as they should playing all the games ive thrown at them its very similar to the cyclods but a bit cheaper .

also bought m3ds real and they also work as they should so far .

probably most will recommend the cyclods , edge ds , m3ds real , supercards sd one or acekard as they are all well built , well supported and wont let you down .

as for dealextreme ive bought loads from them although not dstt , they are the cheapest to buy from but delivery to the uk can take 2 - 3 weeks .

as others have said stay well away from any of the r4 - r4ds versions they are all fakes and will give you nothing but trouble .

So I was thinking I'm going to get this from dealxtreme:

TopToy DSTT Card for NDS Lite + Kingston Japan 1GB TF

I have a question though... why does it say "Japan 1GB TF"?? Is there some difference in the micro sd cards that I'm not aware of? Will this work with my Canadian DS Lite? Like I said before, I only want to play back up games, nothing else. This is cheap enough with a 1gb card to boot. As well, there are other cards bundled with this product, like a Kingston Japan 2GB TF, a Sandisk 2GB TF, or an OEM 2GB TF. Which one should I go for? The price difference is almost nothing, so I want to get whatever one will be best for me. Thanks!!

I know if its not SKU#15613 it will be a clone/fake for sure. According to ndstt.com if it comes in a box and not the plastic package like SKU#15613 then its fake. Now that's according to the manufacture website. And a 1GB card is not very big anyway You would probably just end up buying a bigger one later on anyway. I buy my Micro SDHC cards at newegg but you can buy them where ever you prefer.

    Check out this link:

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10401

It's listed on there "- Genuine NDSTT.com (DSTT official site) product guaranteed: all shipments made after 9/5/2008 are hand checked to ensure they are genuine products as posted on the official DSTT website."

    Should I believe them?

Once again according to ndstt.com that card is a clone, because it comes in a box. So you be the judge. I'm just going of personal experience and the manufacture website.

I have bought a few of these http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15613~r.46313531 and never got a clone and never had a problem.

    Hi Everyone,

So I just recently got a nds lite and was told to get a card for it. Mainly to download games to play. I am not sure about the whole lingo or what card does what. My friend had the R4, but I was told there are other makes out there. I tried reading up on TT and some say it doesn't list out the games or the template isn't user-friendly?

So some how I narrow down to TT and now EZ-FLASH. Anyone can kindly suggest which one that basically meets all the requirements to fullfil what's best for a nds user?

Which one of these will suffice?

    Please help!
