Hey photog57, I have had one since June04 and I hate it. The reson why is that I have backed up a lot of DVD's but have not taken the time to watch them. Some that I have watched have had a problem during backup and I get a message saying Check the disk. It may be Damaged or require cleaning. Then it stops reading and will not play the backup. Cleaning does not help. BUT it will play on my Computer DVD burner and on my cheap Toshiba player in the bedroom. This is so frustrating not to be able to watch on big TV with Surround sound.
