It's not reconising Blank DVD-R's.. haven tried geting and DVD-RW's yet (no $$$) i'm using Memorex Brand 4x 4.7GB Single Sided Blank DVD-R's...
when i put one in, it just keeps trying to read/reconize the disc.. after 3 min's the Busy/Writing light stops blinking and goes "Solid" (stays on) any program i have tried (Roxio,Nero,DiscJuggler) say there's no Disc in the Drive.. same thing Windows Reports... What can i do to fix this? it does everyting else.. read's pre-burnt dvd-r's/dvd's (store bought type) cd's cd-r's cd-rw's stil burns CD-r's and CD-rw's .. it play's DVD's.. i got it off of ebay.. for a total of 71.57 US$
Is my system the cause of this??

Your system specs are at the lower end of the spectrum but should be OK.

With Windows ME you will be using a FAT32 file system - this restricts you to a maximum file size of 4MB which may cause some of your probs.

If you have both Roxio and Nero on your system u may encounter probs - they conflict and do not play well together.

    Most reliable combination is:

    DVD Shrink
    DVD Decrypter
    Nero
