    Hi,

I have the SD-R5372V for about 5 months. It has serious compatibility
problems. I've tried various media, only (very expensive) Sony DVD's give reliable results. I contacted Toshiba, but they don't reconize the problem. My PC is the cause according to Toshiba. Even when I swapped their writer with a NEC ND-3520A, and it was able to
succesfull burn on the very same DVD media (at the highest speed).
The SD-R5372V is at bios lvl: TU11, and no update is available yet.
I received a list from Toshiba with recommended DVD media. All the
DVD media that I had trouble with, was on this list !
So I would say, get rid of Toshiba, and buy NEC !

    Cheers, G.
