When I run 5.1 audio output to my reciver thru the xa2, I hit the display button on the xa2, and the audio out setting is pcm bitstream! I thought the 5.1 analog output would be pcm. Any idea why it would output it as a bitstream and not pcm? Thanx,
I don't think you have to worry about this. It's just the setting for the SPDIF (digital) output and doesn't refer to the analog 5.1 connections.
Yea your a little confused. The output to 6 channel analog outputs doesn't change. It analog an uncompressed all the time. Its not PCM or Dolby, or DTS. Its just analog. You said, Then you said, What do you mean? Like error5 said those are [bold]Digital audio[/bold] settings which will only effect the S/PDIF and HDMI connections. Ced
