I am very new to burning DVD's I just cant seem to figure it out.
I burned a few DVD's with 3 different programs . here is how it went: DaVinci Code with Roxio Easy Media creator : Did not play on any of my DVD players

Davinci Code with Nero7: Did not play on any of my DVD Players

DaVinci Code with Cucusoft: Did not play on home DVD player but played on my portable player once after that the player displays "NO DISC" My home player keeps displaying "DISC MAY NOT HAVE A PLAYBACK FUNCTION".

The origonal DaVince Code I am using in in divx format. I have also tried with other movies and formats to no avail
    Please Help

Are these players capable of DivX playback, or did you convert the file from DivX to DVD compliant files so all players can play them back?

Standard video compliant files contain IFO, BUP and VTS files. The file extension tells you what kind of file you have. Newer players will play DivX, or AVI files but older ones will not so the files need converting to standard video files. Much of the video that is downloaded is usually in a format that needs converting. Nero Vision Express is good and what I use, or ConvertXtoDVD will also work well.
