I have a GQ Laptop with "Synaptics" Touch pad. The other day i tried to move the cursor but nothing happened. I already tried updating the drivers from the Synaptics website with no luck. It works with a USB mouse, but i think the whole point of having a laptop is that everything is wireless. Hopefully you can help me fix it. Does anyone have a clue??

I had this happen to me a couple of times. Different laptop. The ribbon that plugs the touch pad to the mobo comes lose. Sometimes just removing the keyboard will expose where the touch-pad plugs into the mobo. Other systems you will have to open it all the way. I was lucky. I just had to remove the Keybord to get to mine.

Good job. Glad to hear it worked. It will happen again though, will take awhile.
