I have recently purchased a digital camcorder, and i want to transfer this to my pc to make a dvd, is this possible?. In my instruction manual it shows how to transfer to VHS. Surely i don't have to do that first, then transfer VHS to dvd.
    Thanks im totally lost

    Yes, it's possible.

Does you digital camcorder have a [bold]FIREWIRE[/bold] port?
    If so:
    1. transfer the video to your PC via firewire
    2. edit / postprocess (if applicable)
    3. encode it to a DVD compliant mpeg
    4. author the DVD

There is software that can make these steps easy.
If you want outstanding quality - the software gets more complicated.

I want to buy some easy to use software to do this. I have tried doing it with shareware but there are many steps . I am looking for some stand alone prgram like NERO ? to do this?

The new Nerovision Express 3 ver. 3.0.1.4 will do that.
