    hi guys

whats the easiest way to transfer lots of files from my pc to laptop and vice versa? my laptop only has a 40gig hdd and need to regularly clear space by moving files to desktop, and occasionally back again. so far i have been using cd's to burn the files and transfer them to pc, but this a slow pain in the a$$ process. i could do with knowing how to set up a link via usb or something to transfer these files like i used to do agesssss ago with a program called laplink all them years ago on a parallel conncetion. the laptop doesnt have these connections unfortunatly. the cheaper the better if possible.

both computers run winxp and have usb 2.0 connections

    cheers

    agreed

an external hd is a good idea - but with a desktop pc with a 160gig hd sitting there i cant really justify buying an external when i know i can transfer stuff just dont know exactly how!

    cheers tho
