Do you have your xbox modded?

Cause you can't otherwise. The xbox hard drive is locked (can't view contents)

the system has to be modded. and preferably have evox menu installed (it has a built in ftp server)

if the answer to the above is yes. then its dead simple

if the answer is no, then you really need to take the steps above, and go from there.

i've found more tutorials that i can read in a life time at www.xbox-scene.com

you can download a trial of flashfxp from www.flashfxp.com - the reason we mention it, is because its the most reliable ftp client so far in regard to xbox file copying.

in evox you can specify your ip address. make note of what you make it.

run flashfxp connect to the ip address setup in evox.

use xbox as a username and a password. you will see a list of letters. each letter is the drive, and if u backed up a game to your xbox originally using a program like dvd2xbox, then you'll prolly find the games in E\Games. all you do is choose the files you want in the right hand window, navigate to your destination folder in the left window and drag and drop the folder.

that will copy the xbox games to your hard drive on the pc.

you will ONLY need xiso if you then create an xbox format iso and burn it to a dvd.

xiso is very simplistic and limited.

i would suggest getting Craxtion 4 it has a range of xbox iso tools, to not only convert to, but also extract out of, (if u downloaded an iso from the net for example)

all these xbox tools are available at www.xbins.org but you need to follow the procedures explained ion their website to obtain any files.

also when burning to dvd, try burning at 1x apparently it makes them more reliable, i've been having problems myself with games halting just in the heat of a race with dirty disc errors. yet extracting those same discs, there are no problems.

If you dont have .net installe on your pc (you will know, if you try to install craxtion 4 and run it, it will error) then use qwix
I have a easy to follow network tutorial with diagrams
pm me if you want it
Also, In my opnion, stomp recordnow is the best xbox burning tool, to date (touch wood) havent lost a disc yet
Dont forget too, you need to make sure that the media you use works with your xbox, Theres a few types of disc that work on all xbox drives, I use sony oem dvd-r (4x), they also work on all the drives

I have found flashfxp to be quite a good proggy. If the original disc is scratched then this program has trouble reading. I then use craxtion 4.0 to rip the dvd without any trouble at all. Get craxtion 4 here
    http://www.craxtion.com/. hope it helps.
