Is it possible that i can transfer channels from a CoolSat 5000 cable box to another one? I'm not too sure because Im new to this stuff
Wouldn't it be easier just to scan for available channels? Transferring may give you less than are available or ones that won't work. Receivers at different locations can be +/- channels. Even in the same house and same dish. I was getting about 70 more channels on one receiver than the other. Recently I re-scanned and now only a difference of 3 between each receiver. Could be weaker signal on one causing the difference.
Ahhh i see, but me and my cousin lives next door and we have the same box, so i'd figure we'd get like similar channels. But yeah i tried the scan yesterday, i got some channels, and some were missing that my cousin had and i didnt. So yeah i'll keep scanning. THanks
If you are missing channels on certain transponders, you can do just a t/p scan and get them. If you need to know what channels are on what t/p go to lyngsat.com
