Hey guys i own a minidv camcorder with a memory card, when capturing video with this i simply plug it into my computer using USB Connectivity and just copy and paste the video to My Documents etc, i recently purchased a Sony Digital 8 Camcorder ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...79699/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/202-6017420-1012635 ). I am also using USB Connectivity to transfer my footage of this, i use windows movie maker and when i capture from video device i have to sit and wait through the whole footage, i was just woundering is ther any other way of doing this were i can simply just collect the video instead of having to wait for it to play through, if i invest in using firewire will this help? Or is there another way of doing it through USB. Thanks guys

No, there is no way to do it faster. You just have to play the tape at normal speed. Firewire also will not be faster but you will get better quality.

Well, you can use that to connect your camcorder to an analog capture card on your PC and transfer the video like that. But it will also be real time (i.e. it takes one hour to capture one hour of video).
Also, be aware that a digital transfer is by far the best way to transfer the video to PC.
