I have the newest version of MPT 3.25b and I can transfer the sample rings and sounds just fine. I can even transfer pictures fine. The problem is when I go in a trim/cut the mp3, when I go to save the selection or transfer to the phone, it says that it cannot transfer and the mp3 codec is inappropriate or missing. I even tried using a wav, but the same result. I've tried big files and small files. All the same. I don't understand what the problem is. I even encoded the files at a lower rate than the 128 i was using. What is the deal?? Please help. TIA

you didnt properly encode the mp3 ringtones, you cant put .wav ringtones. encode it to rate 48 and it should work make sure its under 60 seconds.

When I go to save as or save selection as it says "failed to create file". When I go to transfer, it says "unsupported format mp3 codec is inappropriate or missing". I even tried taking it straight from the cd and same result. do I need to encode to a lower bitrate before i use it? or does MPT encode automatically to a lower bitrate?

I tried encoding it first to a lower bitrate and same thing. it seems that if it is an mp3 of any kind, it will not transfer it. Ahh!
