I own two DVDs of the same movie. One has very high quality video, the other has subtitles. I'd like to burn a DVD where I add the subtitle track from the second one to the first one. What is the easiest way for me to do this?

I think that I can use DVD Decrypter to get a .sub file with the subtitles from the second movie, similarly I can demux the first into AC3 and MPEG and then use a reauthoring tool like muxman or dvdlab to combine into a new movie. But is there an easier way? What if I wanted to preserve the original menu on the first movie, won't demuxing and reauthoring lose the menu? Also, how can I preview before I burn to disc to make sure the subtitles are properly synched and adjust if necessary? Also, is there any difference between extracting the subtitles as .sub using dvd decrypter or .sub and idx with vobsub?

Btw, it's really important that I don't lose any video or audio quality during the process (or avoid it as much as possible).

Don't know as I've never tried but you can look over this: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f62/how-add-subtitles-dvd-croatian-english-tutorial-135193/ I'd substitute ImgBurn for Nero though. Probably the easiest way after ripping would be to download sub's from some site like SubScene and add them in ConvertXtoDVD. You'll lose the menu and there will be quality loss but you shouldn't notice. Or convert the DVD to avi and hardcode the sub's and then convert but again, no menu and quality loss you shouldn't notice.
