Hey! I got a new mobo and a CPU, and with the mobo i got a program called easy tune 6, i felt like trying it, and got the CPU speed up to 3ghz, but after a while i wanted it back to default. The temperatures rose of course after increasing the speed. But they didn't decrease after getting the speed back at 2.6GHz I started off at default at around 14 deg c, and now around 29. So I'm guessing it didn't reset the voltages? This isn't my field of expertize. But i just don't like how this is looking. I know nothing of overclocking. Well i know about CPU Speed = CPUM x FSB, but not much more then that... and thats not much. So i tried to uinstall the program, maybe whatever it did would go away, but it didn't. So I'm wondering how to get it back where it was. The motherboard is Gigabyte p55 ud3 The Cpu is Intel Quad i5 750. Those temps are normal for the default speed. 30c is about 86F, only a little warmer than room temperature. Your cpu could not be running at 14c unless you keep your house at less than 60f. Most of the time the lowest temperatures you can get are about room temperature(22c or 71f). If you would like to reset your overclocking try hitting the default button at the bottom of the easy tune program or go into the bios and set the cpu settings to auto.
So there must have been some reading error then? I thought the temp seemed very low, but i just figured the cooling was just very good... But i guess with fans you only remove the heat they produce don't make them colder. Yeah i reset it without problem though it just seemed odd that after the reset the temperatures didn't go down to start point, but stayed the way they were at overclocked state. I did go into bios and everything was on auto, out of those things i assume usually are on auto. 1,26 vcore 1,05 pch 1,8 pll and so forth was the reading, and thats the stock settings i believe. What would be a good cpu cooler that is not of the liquid type?
