    Hi, Can someone help here?

I am, of course, trying to link my xbox to my pc, and I tried everything that was mentionned before. My Console has been modded, I used a evolution-x boot disc to start it up, I did use the correct crossover cable and modified all the lan and IP connections. Fact is: when I run the connection it's telling me it's communicating at 100 mb, and the link in my xbox seems to work fine as well. But...

When I try to access my xbox through my pc, everything just...froze, and I thing the problem comes from my xbox because It won't allow me to browse around in the evolution-x main menu (it's just frozen)

ok, what FTP program are you using to browse the Xbox?
Are you sure that all the settings on the PC and Xbox and FTP program are set correctly?
Have you set the PC connection for "Network Sharing"?

How is it modded and what do you mean that you use an EvoX boot disc to start it, that is somethig i have never heard of.
It needs to either be softmodded or have a modchip for you to be able to FTP.

Weeeeell... for the FTP, I tried connecting to the xbox in two different ways, the first one was to create a separate network connection completly set with the xbox's ip and gateway coordinates, the other way was by using an ftp program called Qwix, but neither worked as I was trying to access my Xbox's hdd.
My Xbox has been modded with evo x, and when I was starting it, instead of using its original MS dashboard, I used an evolution-x dvd that was supposed to let me access the internal settings as for setting the correct ip and gateway coordinates as well.
Now, I read somewhere that the reason why we couldn't access the xbox's hdd was because the original ms dashboard wouldn't allow it, wich is the reason why I was booting it up with another dashboard on disc. I wonder now if the answer would be to delete the original dashboard to replace it with something like evolution-x or avalaunch. But I'm not expert enough to try and apply those procedures myself (and to tell you the truth I contacted the friend who modded my console in the first place because it's not functionning anymore since the last power outage we had).

do not delete the MS dash!
What you need to do is either have a mod chip installed or have your Xbox softmodded (which you can do if you are careful and follow the instructions.

Unless you have a modded system you will not be able to FTP. I have never heard of anyone using a disc just to boot a dashboard. After you have a modchip or softmod done then what it will do is set up EvoX as your main dashboard. After that you should be able to set up and use the FTP connection.
FlashFXP and WS-FTP Pro are two good FTP programs i have used.
Qwix and Craxtion4 i only use when i want to back up a game because it can rip the game from the disc on the Xbox to my PC.

if your Xbox loads up the MS Dash and not EvoX it is probably not modded. There are two ways. Pressing the eject button, or pressing the power button. If they both load the MS Dash i would think that your system is not really modded and will not FTP.
