I've been trying to burn two different films for the past couple of days, wasted 10 discs so far. The discs use the Optodisc dye and are good quality. They burn fine everytime they just won't play in my standalone DVD player A workmate has tried the media in his machine and it burned fine and played fine with his setup, I'm using Nero 6.3.0.3. Tried other media which were Princo dye and they wouldn't even burn I've even tried re-authoring them in DVDShrink but still no joy! I'm running out of ideas here.
hi whats the make of your burner? is it +R discs? if your mates dvd standalone works with your discs! and same programs then its your dvd player dont like the media!
Thanks for the reply It's a LiteOn 815s. Sorry, they are DVD-R discs. The disc of mine that he burned in his burner worked on my DVD player so I don't think it's the media.
hi is it the same burner as your friend? and software as your friend? if so it could be something you are doing wrong? or maybe you need an aspi layer?? have you got some to work ok on yours? infact waht software are you useing? and procedure? _X_X_X_X_X_[small] ITS THE BULKPAQ ORANGE "GENERATION 4" GUY www.ukdvdr.co.uk http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm http://dvdshrink.info[/small]
His burner is a different make, not sure what though. He's using DVDXCopy Platinum (!?) to burn his DVD-R's. I'm going to give RecordNow Max a go as it's "supposed" to be better at creating video DVD's.
hi give dvd shrink a try! its real easy and does it all! rip/compress/reathur/burn you will nedd nero loaded but you wont use nero!!! dvd shrink uses nero burn engine!! excellant!
The movie is pre-authored, ready to burn (vob's, ifo's, etc). I've already tried re-authoring it using DVDShrink and burned again with Nero but still no joy. I'm currently waiting on another film converting to mpeg-2 format for authoring and burning. If this works then it's obviously the two pre-authored films. Are there any apps that can check vobs, ifos, etc to make sure their valid and correct?
