    Hi everyone
I recently seem to have a problem with my browser , I use Firefox on Window 7 and every now and then a random tab will pop up and redirect me to some advertising page.As far as I know this seem to be a trojan problems or adware.

Then after that i installed Kapersky Internet Security , well right now I'm only using the trail version, but it was able to remove about 400 copies of this Trojan Packed.Win32.TDDS.z. But it also reported that a few copies of this trojan were missing in the deletion.

Even with KIS this problem doesn't seem to be fixed . Although the pop-up is not very frequent but is kind of annoying. So is there anyway to detect the problem and manually fix it? Do i need to use some pop-up blocker or smt like that?

Please help me , thanks and best regard

Okey I tried the ccleaver program, but as far as i know ccleaner is only an utility program for cleaning, and it doesn't have anything to do with virus. The problem still seem to persist, although the whole day i only got like 1 random pop up so maybe not so serious but still got on my nerve. Any idea how to permantely delete this add and banner trojan?

forget norton.. shady thing that's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.. resource hog, and directly subverted (probably with assistance from the sellers who need to keep flogging the garbage year after year.. paid avtivirus is a scam at best and a fraud at worst) by lots of known malware applications

install and run avg http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage .. or if you want to have full control of what happens give clamwin a shot.. http://www.clamwin.com/ that's good as well though it's far more hands on and manual (good for people with a lot of false positives they know about)

then grab and install hijackthis http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/ and when you have run it don't just blindly post a log here but first run it through.. http://www.hijackthis.de/ (we call it hjt, as do the writers) and malwarebytes. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

there are lots of guides on how to use these programs and they are ALL freeware.

of course if you are running internet explorer and using that on the wild and dangerous internet you are beyond help.. firefox or opera is the best move you can make, after getting rid of the malware.

    Thanks for the reply
As i mentioned before, I do use firefox. I have downloaded and installed 2 programs that gunard suggested (ccleaver and Spybot) Spybot scan provide no result. And yes the problem still persist, what's more how and when does this advertise pop up is very strange. Although it doesn't happen very often, just know I was reading some news online for 5 mins and then switch to Words Office for work while leaving Firefox open . After 5 mins the advertisement just suddenly pop-up in firefox while i'm typing in Word. Isn't this very strange even for advertisement? usually don't those things run when you go to some page or switch to some pages?
Just a wild guess but is there are a possibilities that someone is directing these attack on my computer? If so how can I remove it.
I will try to use programs that the above post suggested. But seriously i have been using like 3-5 programs now and the problem still persist
