trouble mounting an .MDF file

    I know this is probably a stupid question, but every time i mount an image of F.E.A.R using either alcohol 120% or daemon tools it crashes. The initial load up screne commences and i click to install, then the game just quits itself every time. anyone know why this would be??

    Did you d/l this mdf or back up an original copy of the game that you own?

    Its the same thing basucally mounting it.....
