Hi,i have recentley got new pc with vista on it. On my old pc i had xp and used nero 6 to burn dvds which would then play in any dvd player no problem. I am now using nero 7 ultra edition enhanced as this seems to be only version that works on vista. The problem im having now is that after burning the disc will not play in the dvd player that they use to,although i also have cheap dvd player upstairs that they will? I am using same discs-any explanations or help appreciated jason
An age-old problem. - Make sure your burner firmware is up to date. - Make sure you use good quality media like Verbatim, Made in Japan labeled Fuji/Sony, and Taiyo Yuden - Burn at half or less the rated speed of the media. - Don't multitask while burning. Try ImgBurn (free) for burning. Just output an image file from your authoring software and burn that with ImgBurn using the Write mode. If you have a folder of dvd files, use the ImgBurn's Build mode to first create an image file. http://www.imgburn.com It may just be a case of finding the right combo of items that the stubborn player likes.
