Hey folks, I know its probably something stupid I'm doing wrong, but I cant seem to get a picture uploaded on my profile page. It keeps coming back "no thumbnail preview" or something similar. I've tried several different pictures and none seem to register. I would really appreciate some help, thx ;-D
i get that msg for some of the pics, but i think the pics are there (i hadn't checked they're actually there though)
I uploaded 3 times and got the same thing, but I checked my page a few days later and it was there, so maybe it just takes a little bit of time.
It takes anything between 30secs and 5 minutes for thumbs and standard versions of a picture to generate. Also, you should note that browsers often do caching, which means that at first if you see "no thumbnail available", your browser caches that image and even tho the new image would've been already "thumbnailed", you wont see its thumb as your browser is caching the old "error image". Shift + refresh does the trick. One special case tho -- our system can't currently generate thumbnails out of animated GIFs, we're working on a solution to solve this issue soon.
