Ok so im trying to use flash fxp to connect with my xbox and i got the ip address, password and username but for some reason it wont connect. I have my xbox connected to my linksys does it have to be connected to my computer or what im trying to put some maps on my xbox.
set your xbox dash to DHCP...and use the ip the router assigns the xbox..dont use static when going through a router...
ppl prefer to use flashfxp on xbox, but for some reason, it haven't worked for me, the transfer rate was too damn slow, even if i'm sure all my network settings where all ok. I just got another ftp program and now everything is working like a charm, quick as it should be. so, if you're still having problems, it won't hurt to try another ftp program. now i'm using GlobalSCAPE CuteFTP 7 Professional. also, don't forget to check the correct type of cable you're using. if you're connecting your xbox directly to you pc ethernet port, so you should use a crossover cable. but if you're connecting to a hub, so it must be a straight trough cable.
