I have a few external hard drives with various stuff on each. I keep all my music on one of them and normally that's fine. But sometimes when it's been unplugged and then plugged back in again it comes up wit a different drive letter. For example it may have been G:\ before and it turns to H:\. It's not a huge problem but winamp then says I have no music and I have to rescan the hard drive again using the new drive letter. I have quite a lot of music and it's time consuming. Anyone have any ideas on how to set my drives up to always be recognised by the same drive letter?

Did you plug it back into the same USB port that it was last plugged into? That should restore the same drive letter so long as it isn't already taken by another device.
