I have trouble with my athlonXP 2800 series, there it is.

I had 512mb ddr 333 RAM and a MSI ti-200 ge force 3 graphic card on a ASROCK K7S41GX motherboard.
Everything worked well until I add 512md ddr333 ram and a Radeon 9800
my cpu fell to 1.26 GHZ and was running at 2.0 GHZ before adding the new part...
What can be the cause of this and what can be the best solution?

ps: I dont know how to overclock. But if its the only solution I can learn how to do it.

Hi sgtbunny, have you tried clearing the bios .... look in your ASROCK user manual and it should show you how to go about this , doing this will reset the bios to default and get you running back a 2ghz

Check your CMOS, especially the FSB (frequency) for the RAM you inserted.
It sounds like the FSB (frequency) for the RAM is running slower than it should be.

FSB (memory frequency) x CPU Multiplier = CPU frequency

    ie (166 = 333ddr) x 12 = 1.9GHz
    ...(133 = 266ddr) x 12 = 1.6GHz
    (examples only)
