Hi, I purchased a used Trutech TT 1620 Dvd Recorder, I tried to put a regular dvd disk and it worked fine, I then wanted to test the dvd recoder so I put in a blank dvd-r disk and it read it but it says, Format Disk, the only problem here is that I dont have the remote so I cannot move around, I tried to move it with the buttons on the actuall dvd player but it would not work, if anyone could help me or give me the manual for this, It would be greatly apprechiated. Thanks

I'M SORRY TO TELL YOU BUT WITHOUT THE REMOTE THE MACHINE IS COMPLETLY FUNCTIONLESS. TRUTECH IS A PRODUCT OF THE "TARGET" CORP. I TOO AM WITHOUT A REMOTE. GO TO THE TRUTECH WEBSITE AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ORDER A NEW ONE. IT'S A WHOLLY @$$#!!! $35 OR YOU COULD GO TO E-BAY. I HOPE THAT I HELPED YOU!

I have the same problem as you do in regards to no remote. I recently lost mine in a move. If you find out where or how to purchase one please let me no. I will also do the same for you if I find any information. Thanks.

ok, i admit it...i went cheap. but ONLY b/c i have very few vhs tapes to convert to dvd for safekeeping. i was lure in at Target by the low low price of a TruTech dvd burner.
it's ok...i got what i wanted on dvd. but can anyone tell me why my mac wants me to restart when i insert the disk? i just want to clean up the footage a bit that i have transferred.

    thanks.
