my major at college is communications with a focus in TV/Digital Film. We had 5 video projects this semester. I encoded the projects into .avi in Final Cut Pro. I have ffmpegX and i think im supposed to encode the .avi file to DVD mpeg2enc. Is that right? I have DVD Studio Pro, Sizzle & iDVD. I want to try and use DVD Studo Pro So. But DVD SP wont import the encoded mpeg file. I still dont exactly know how to use DVD studio Pro Is there something else i should be encoding the avi files into? Im in the process of encoding them into a DV file and seeing if that works at all in any of the 3 DVD burning programs. Or should i have not of encoded my projects into .avi in Final Cut Pro? Maybe something else?? I dont have Toast, i would just use Disk Utility... And in the main menu of the DVD I would like you to be able to choose which video you want to watch... Thanks For Any Help
Any reason you arn't just creating the project in iDVD and burning from there? I don't have FCP so I don't know how it works, but I really like iDVD works good for me and my limited uses right now
back in the old days before i had toast 7, i used ffmgegx to convert the avi to an mpg file. then take the audio to an acc file. then used sizzle to build a menu and burn them to a dvd. then made it to disk file and burned with disk utility.
