Merry Christmas all, I'm trying to update the firmware on my newly acquired Sony BDP-S1, and I have to use a DVD to burn the Image onto. Nero 6 came with my DVD drive hardware, so I installed that, selected DVD at the top drop-down, went to the "Copy & Back-Up" section, and selected "Burn Image to Disc." I selected the file, I get this screen: http://www.demalus.com/storage/Josh/NEROHELP.jpg I don't understand why it labels the disc as "DVDRW", but then shows [CD-R/RW] next to it. When I proceed, I get this: http://www.demalus.com/storage/Josh/NEROHELP2.jpg , followed by a command prompt that says "Aborted by user." It has to be on a DVD (I'm using a DVD-RW), so any help is greatly appreciated.
Your burner is a LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S and the latset firmware is PSOB from here http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/SHW-160P6S/firmware/DR16PS0B.rar I dont fully understand this statement, what are you trying to burn
It means that, in order to update the firmware, I had to download the .exe, extract the .ISO, burn it onto a DVD-R/DVD-RW, and then play it in the Blu-Ray player. Anyways, I got everything sorted out. Used a neighbor's software, but he had to use his own DVD-R because the disc I was using wasn't able to write anything at all. Thanks for the help; I was thinking that outdated drivers may have been the culprit. Have a safe holiday!
