hello, im a noobee...I have a full-length movie (in .avi) that I transferred into a larger .mpg file using CuCuSoft 4.+ software. I am trying to burn the mpg file to a VCD using nero 5.5+ to play in my DVD player.....I see that the converted file is much larger now than 80MB, so Nero wont burn the VCD (not enough space on the 80MB CD-R)....is this a matter of necessarily having to previously make 2 .mpg conversions from the original AVi file, and then make 2 seperate VCDs that will then burn in Nero? I do not know if CuCusoft can do this. I have heard of TMPGEnc software-- can this do the dual CD conversion, and is there a tutorial? Or are there alternate solutions? thanks, schmynka
(Nephlim, I receive hundreds of threads you're forced to move!!) No, I hate and never use for VCDs Nero. Read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 for VCDs and http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124272 for KVCDs. Probably with KVCDs you won't even need to split the movie! All the 'sticky' threads are full tutorials! If you want to learn more about VCDGear, read http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vcdgearburnatonce.cfm .
