trying to burn wmv files

    when trying to make a vcd using nero,it doesn't let me burn a wmv file,and TMPGEnc wont convert it.I really dont understand alot of this ,what do I need to do?

    check it first to see do u have the appropriate codecs with gspot!

    Thanks for the reply,when I put it in to gspot,it says the file is asf[.wma/.wmv]unsupported file type. I really dont understand how g spot works. I know it tells you what codec you need,but nothing other than that .

    Well that is the pount of gspot, it just says what codec u need and if u dont have it then u wont be able to open or encode it usually!

    O.k. If I dont I dont have it,how do I get it?
    I thought gspot tells me which one I need,It says n.a. Do I get it from a codec bin? plz help

    Usually u can find whatever codec u want with google!

    What codecs did gspot tell u?

    If it's a wmv file it says N.A. most of the time.Everything on the right hand side says N.A. It says that the file is ASF,whatever that means.

    and does this file play back fine?

    yes,but I cant burn it.I have some codecs,I think these are just bad files.It doesn't tell me what codec I need.

    it must be just cause they are asf so, not much i can say to help i dont know much about asf files!
