I just bought my first flat screen TV so now I want to up the quality on the kind of DVD player I use. The old one is limited and I want to replace it with one of the newer up converting units. First off, let me just say, I don't want a Blu-ray player as I don't plan to watch Blu-ray DVD's. My TV is a Samsung so I've been leaning towards a Samsung DVD player, the Samsung DVD-1080P9 to be exact. Most of the reviews I've read on it are good, but the same cannot be said for other Samsung models. Some of the Sonys have gotten good reviews too along with a few Toshiba models,though for some reason, I've just never even considered buying a Toshiba anything!
why not a blueray?they are pretty much the same price as dvd players and they play both.i saw one in future shop the other day for about 120.00 can.
