I was wondering I have a hp media center pc I was wondering is there anyway to fax something to someone from my pc or do I need a fax machine to hook to it? I scanned the info to my pc so can I fax that or no?
you need a fax modem & fax software to fax something so that the other person can receive a fax as long as they have a fax modem or fax machine. if you have a dialup modem in the pc then just need fax program as dialup modem is also fax modem.
xp has a builtin fax program in control panel under printers as i just checked in my windows. as long as have a telephone line & not doing long distance calls, it is free.
