I also found that one and then firmware for TS-H552C etc. How do I know that it won't mess up my burner if I try it?

the firmware page have a forum you could ask on there & see if it is ok, or you could e mail them direct, they also do firmware requests. personally i wouldnt try the H552A / C unless it was confirmed that it will work, wouldnt want to mess up your burner :)

Thank you, that sounds like a good plan. I'll ask around about it and hopefully get my burner back in business :)
