Well I upgraded my 183's firmware from the Samsung web site a couple months ago. Grive burns good both before & after the upgrade.

I don't usually bother messing with firmware unless I have a problem.. My Samsung has never given me any.. so it's as it came out of the shop 18 months ago. I'm waiting for the stock fault of refusing to open unless there is a disk in, which has plagued every Samsung drive I have ever owned.. I know exactly what causes the problem.. it's no trouble to fix, just wondering how long before it shows up.
