i have a toshiba laptop (vista home premium 32 bit) and I am attempting to create a dvd of photos/vid clips of a recent holiday (non-copyright). I have tried using several burn programs including vista's own dvd maker and the dvd ejects saying that burn has completed yet when I put it back in to view the disc is BLANK!! The dvd drive is TSST corp cddvdw ts-l632h on firmware v3 (which is latest i believe) and is showing in device manager as working correctly. i am using dvd+r discs. I have never had a problem before and am getting to the stage where I am getting v frustrated! Incidentally it burns the pics on to cd with no problem whatsoever.
Please could you let me know if you have received a solution to your problem as i have the same problem, and its getting pretty frustrating.
I have this same problem! Just out of nowhere it stopped burning DVDs and says it finished successfully in Nero 7. When i try to play it in my DVD player/computer it is blank. I've used the same brand discs for years and never had an issue once. Not ONE coaster! I'm running the XPS 1700 in windows XP (bought in january) burned like a dream until about 3 days ago. It still burns music cds.
