ive got a dell inspiron 1545 laptop with vista and im looking to turn off the tapping on the touchpad,,i went through all the settings etc. and there is no option for it , the drivers are up to date so its not that , maybe i need different drivers ??ive downloaded synaptics touchpad driver and that did give me other options but still no tapping , other people have downloaded synaptics and went straight into the settings exactly in the same place as my settings and there was an option for tapping but when i do it there is only an option for buttons and overview , the touch pad itself is not an synaptics one but an alps so maybe there is a different driver out there for it even though i have the reccomended one and the right one from the dell website , any help would be great ,,thanks
