turn off video just hear audio?

    Is there a way I can turn off the screen and just hear the audio on my video ipod?

    nope, but why not just extract the audio from the video - it will save a lot of space as well as battery. Otherwise, the only alternative is to turn the backlight off (hold 'menu')
