Can anyone help me. Maybe the answer to my question is being overlooked or in words I just dont understand. But my question is how do I convert my movies on my hard drive to dvds? Every answer I have found tell me about making backups, but I need to drop from my saved documents and burn. Can anyone give it to me straight. I am a newbie and no not the language yet.
I guess what you mean by format is how are they stored? What I did was downloaded them from a feature like napster. They are stored in my video file in my documents. Hope that answered your question. Sorry very new to the cp as well.
cev111, I hate to be the one to tell ya, but the words download and video will not be answered in this forum. It is considered piracy and piracy will not be discussed. Rule #5, I believe. Backups are largely made from files on your computer.
Okay. Guess I need to read the rules. What about my home movies on my computer. Can these files be converted?
these files need to be converted to a dvd compliant format such as vob, mpeg2, iso, etc. Need to know what software do you have.
cev111, My experience with avi files is that they are downloaded... so here ya go: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm
I have 321 studio software. I've downloaded shrink, dvd decrypter, wink, debugmode, and was about to get nero. Do any of these help?
I also have divx just reading and downloading trying to find something that I can use. Thanks for the help.
Nero Ultra 6 is a very good all around program that is made to meet most of your burning needs. I highly reccommend it. There is a program within it called nerovision express that will handle downloaded files from your home video and you will be able to create a menu for it, since most home videos don't have one. Again, read the forum, there are tons of threads and guides concerning exactly what you're trying to do. Use the search engine. Work with it and then come back when you hit a snag. _X_X_X_X_X_[small] [bold]GO VOLS![/bold]........Dell Media4600, XP home,Pentium 4 @2.80GHz/800Mz, 512MB, 280 HD w/8MB, 17" flat panel, AIO-A920, 8x DVD-ROM, integrated 5.1 audio, HP dc4000, Plextor PX-708UF[/small]
