I'm sorry as this has probably been asked hundreds of times but I couldn't find a reply I was sure of so I'll start from the beginning. I make music videos and I wanted a song that I had on CD to use. I ripped it to my computer using WMP10 and couldnt use it in my video making software (Ulead Video Studio 9) as it had A DRM protection on it. So instead I re-inserted the CD and took it straight from the CD and imported it directly to Ulead Video Studio, which worked fine! The only problem now is I want it in mp3 format and not wma format in the hopes it should make the size of it smaller. So if anyone out there has any knowledge of Ulead, Windows Media Player, DRM's or anything...Please help! Sarah P.S. I don't know if it's relevant but the last song I used i managed to get and it saved to my computer as a wma file but because it was already on my computer, when i opened it to use in UVS9, UVS9 put it in as an mp3 file.
I personally use Nero6 Reloaded to convert all my WMA to MP3 formats, also anydvd will correct any cd protections you might have. There is another free tool that will convert all your tracks to MP3 format called EAC (Exact Audio Copy) Pick it up here. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
