Sup Guys, I recently brought my son a DSI and am having a hard time trying to find a tutorial on how to mod it. I understand that there are some special instructions considering the version is 1.4.1U. From the research I’ve done, acekard 2i appears to be one of the best cards. Can someone offer a link or instructions on how I can mod it? Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks Btw, I modded his original DS so I have some knowledge on the process, but that was nearly two years ago.
Instructions: 1) Buy flashcart and microSD 2) Put firmware and roms on microSD 3) If the card didn't already come updated for 1.4.1 then pop it in a DS/DSlite/DSi with older firmware and run the update. It comes as an .nds file and is started just like a DS rom. 4) You're done.
Thanks Penguin, I just ordered the flashcart. The site i ordered it from stated, "All the Acekard 2i on *****.com are compatiable with the latest firmware 1.4.1 , no need to upgrade since Nov.5th 2010" My DSi version is 1.4.1U, Do i still need to put the firmware? If so, where do i get the firmware. Also where can i go to download the roms? Thanks again
Yep you need to put the firmware on your microSD , download here As for the rom site , just google it , it is not allowed to discuss here .
