I cannot watch and record tv with Nero 8. My laptop is a VAIO VGN-AR11S with AverMedia M115S Hybrid H/W MPEG TV Card (PAL,SECAM,NTSC). I use Vista Ultimate 32 bit (SP1). My Nero version is the latest Ultra Edition (8.3.2.1) with all plugins including multichannel audio. I get about 60 analog channels via cable which is connected to my laptop via RF cable. I have no issues with Vista Media Center, I can watch and receive all channels but my Nero Home and Nero Vision applications fail to receive TV. The NMTvWizard has found 85 channels but, in Nero Vision, under the "Could you see TV?" text the window is blank (all channels) with some black stripes sometimes at the top and button. I am a relatively advanced PC user and it is not very likely I've done anything wrong when configuring TV. I'd appreciate all useful ideas! Thank you for your help in advance! I can make recordings from another source (webcam) but from TV there's nothing to record.
Good News: I've reinstalled my TV Card Driver an re-run the TV Wizard and now it works. I don't say it is a fast story to work with channels but it does work at least. I've met better applications in my life!
