TV to Computer to VCD

    Bought a HP Media PC that can save television shows to the HD.Any way to convert this to vcd,mpeg,etc...Not sure what file MS saves it to on the HD only used it once a few months back.

    Regardless of the extension, if it is like an MPEG (or some kind of avi, provided you have the right codecs), then you could load it up in TMPGEnc and then make a VCD compliant file, ready to burn with Nero. You need to enable 'all files' when loading it up, the software is free, then use Merge and Cut to make 74 minute (that is the length of a VCD) sections. The Nero wizard (for once!) is quite good for VCDs. That's all it takes, really. All the software is free, at least for trial purposes, then you can pay for them and they are downloadable from us :)
