Hi all I downloaded a file which is 2.78gb zipped. Inside the zip file there are two folders: 1. "Part 1 of 2" (1.34gb) containing: video_ts.bup video_ts.ifo vts_01_0.bup vts_01_0.ifo vts_01_1.vob vts_01_2.vob 2. "Part 2 of 2" (1.80gb) containing: video_ts.bup video_ts.ifo vts_01_0.bup vts_01_0.ifo vts_01_1.vob vts_01_2.vob Since the two folders (discs) would both fit on one dvd disc I tried to do this with nero, however I could not put both in the VIDEO_TS folder in the nero dvd video compliation. When I tried to add the second I recieved the error "a special entry already present on the target location. Original, joliet or iso file names can be identical. Cannot move "x" to the new location", where x is the name of each file in the second folder, one error for each file. Should that error message read "file names CANNOT be identical"? I can add both folders to the root of the dvd video compliation, or one in VIDEO_TS and one in the root. However I am running very low on dvd's and didn't fancy making a coaster testing if this would work. Also, IFO files on my pc seem to be associated with WinDVD, but when I click on the IFO's (which usually opens WinDVD and plays the disc image/rip from the downloaded folder) WinDVD opens but nothing plays. If I open the vob's with VLC they do play. Sorry, I don't know very much about dvd video authoring and would appreciate any help with this. Sorry about the longness too! Thanks.
I am having the same problem I think. I know you can do what you are trying to do using Nero Vision Express. You just open it and it will recognize the .VOB file in each part of your movie. It takes a while but it will write the DVD. You can save a little time if you don't make menus. It gives the option to exclude the menus. I have done it several times and will be glad to try and assist you if you need it. Once you load the .VOB files into NVE it will create ifos bups and all that is required for DVD format. Just takes a bit of time.
Thanks for the reply I have no experience with nero vision express at the moment. I'll check it out and post once I have a look at it. Thanks
