All right you brains have never let me down, so here goes. I have a Biostar Mobo with onboard graphics. Of course that was a little weak for my tastes so I bought a Radeon 9200 AGP card. Now, I know you're snickering because I think the 9200 is tough but its much better than the on board so stop laughing. Kidding. Anywho, my question is can I use the dual monitor mode with the on board and the Radeon card? And if so how because I'm trying with no luck. Thanks you beautiful minds you, Brian
Depends on how your MB is built. On some you would be able to do this. Others will automatically disable the built in Video if an external is detected. Knowing Biostar it is safe to say the on board is now disable since you Have another Vid card plugged in. Sorry but in your case I am going to have to say no. Good question though. -Del
No, you cannot do that. You have to have a graphics card with 2 outputs, usually analogue & DVI. The blue socket is for your primary monitor & the DVI (white) for the 2nd. You then have to go to display properties, advanced, then go to display properties. If you have your 2nd monitor connected up, the card will recognise it. Use the pull down menus to make your selection. Pulsar You need an adaptor to allow you to connect your 2nd monitor to the DVI (white) socket.
Well crap. I would like it noted that it took no time at all to get a reply that was polite and informative. Which is why this is my favorite forum, because it's useful.
