Has anyone attended or is going to attend the U.S. Navel Academy? I am seriously considering attending the academy after I grauate from high school. Somehow I don't want a job in an office or something boring like that, I'd rather go out and get a state-of-the art education for free(no debt), serve the mandatory 6 years in the navy, and then get back to the normal life. When you think about it...It will pepare you for the years ahead, and is an amazing experience. I will have to attend their summer seminar and see how it is over there for sure.

I did not attend the Naval Academy, but I would applaud your efforts if they accepted you, and you served our country. (I was Army) It will prepare you for your life ahead, but "normal life" is really a subjective term. Life is anything but normal, but life is good.

Good luck, young fella, and if you do make that choice, I wish you godspeed.

Thanks Bruce. It's something that I've been thinking about. I looked at their academic courses, and they got some pretty interesting ones like aerospace engineering and weapon design. Don't know what my parents will think of this tho ;)

I am sure that they will be proud of you. Talk to them about it.
