i did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10 and installed properly. the problem i have is the screen blanks and then the bios screen comes up, which means it just cuts out on me. does anyone know what this problem is? i had to go back to 11.04 because of this and i dont have the problem with this release.
11.10 is broken from reports around.. others are reporting the same problem.. nothing wrong with 11.04 at all.. except the junk desktop implementation.. Latest I run on anything (works lappy) is 10.04 for this (and wireless capabilities anywhere) reason alone. There are good reasons to avoid cutting edge anything.. and this is one of those reasons..

thanks for letting me know im not the only one with a problem! i thought this was only affecting me i guess il have to wait till ubuntu 12.04
