Ubuntu ja Creative Vibra16 ISA

Tähän akuun nyt ihan ensiksi kerron, että olen ihan aloittelija linuxin ja ubuntun kanssa, että en tajua mitään "koodeja".
Asensin tänään ubuntun ensimmäisen kerran ja huomasin, että äänet ei toimi! Voisiko joku kertoa miten saan asennettua ajurit kyseiseen äänikorttiin?

ISA-väyläiset kortit alkavat jo olla muistoja menneisyydestä. Niiden saaminen toimimaan 2.6-kernelin kanssa voi vaatia lisätietoja modulia ladatessa. Tällaisia lisätietoja ovat mm. keskeytys (IRQ), DMA1 ja DMA2 -väylät jne.
Itse jo hylkäsin ISA-väyläiset äänikortit, koska PCI-väyläiset ovat toimivampia (ja mahdollisesti laadukkaampia).

Tabulaattorilla ja nuolinäppäimillä ohjataan, ESC lopettaa
tarkista ettei ole lähdöt nollassa...

 

Kannattaisiko ostaa vaikka huuto.netistä pci kortti? Mutta mistä tiedän onko se yhteensopiva ubuntun kanssa?

 

Tarjoamani Alsa-project -linkki on ihan oikeasti asiaa.
Luullakseni kaikki pci-väyläiset älämölökortit on tuettuja.
PS. Eiköhän minullakin (ennenkuin käyn Sertissä), ole muutama ISA-väyläinen kaapinpohjilta löydettävissä. Olivat kovia kortteja joskus 1900-luvulla.
Toki edellyttäen, että laitteessasi on PCI-paikkoja

tässä aika hyvä ja halpa
joo, aika vanha tuo SB Vibra16 on, itsellä vaan periaate että, kaikki keinot käytetään ennen ku ruvetaan uutta ostamaan

Mutta jos edes alsamixer ei käynnisty ilman herjaa, niin jossain vikaa...

ja kerta jos aloittelija on, niin voi mennä aika säätämiseksi noiden moduulien lisäys jne..
(vaikka tekemällä oppii, ja ei tämä ole niin vaikeaa)

 

Tarkista, että sb16-moduli on latautunut. lsmod (sudo lsmod).
Tässä eräs malli (joka ei kuulemma kuitenkaan toiminut), mutta kyseessä on jo edesmennyt Ubuntu-jakelu vuodelta 2004:

Mutta tuossa on se tyyli, millä ilmoitetaan tarvittavat modulin lisämääreet: snd-sb16 port=0x220 irq=5 dma8=1 dma16=5
PnP:n tosin pitäisi itse osata homma...

 

Hmm... Vaikka menis säätelyks niin ainahan voisi yrittää.. eikö?
Jos vaan viitsisitte auttaa, niin haluan todellakin kokeilla ja oppia mahdollisimman paljon..

Aloita tuolla juylin vinkillä
lsmod ja etsi se sb16 moduuli listasta
lsmod |grep snd listaa kaikki kaikki missä on lyhenne snd (sound)

 

Ei löydä mitään kun pistän smod |grep snd..

 

se on lsmod |grep snd L S M O D
mutta tuo pelkkä lsmod ulostaa varmaaan aika rivin

En ainakaan itse löytänyt sitä tuosta listasta.. Tarkistkakaa te nyt vielä jos meni multa ohi!

 

Eihän se siellä ollut
mutta kokeile lisätä se seuraavalla komennolla,
sudo modprobe snd_sb16
jos ei herjaa mitään, niin kokeile seuraavaksi komentaa se alsamixer
