ubuntu sound problem

    Hi I just made my way into the linux world and I am having trouble getting my sound going I have a hp hdx 18t I cant google anything useful can anyone please help me thanx alot

    Eh ?

    ...add the line to the file mentioned above ie the one in the /etc folder...

    I think it should be COMPULSORY for all new converts to have 6 months on slackware before starting anything else.. sort out the wheat from the chaff XD

    well sorry for the hassle guys I have been off and on linux just never really got it and OzMick your wrong to I dont add model = model just model=hp-4

    that was in the same page just had to look thanx for the help[ though
