post LAST section of your Nero log, which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar
I HOPE THIS HELPS !! Thanks alot. Nero won't burn this single vob file, fails file test. _____________________________________________________________________ Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.59, size=160016 bytes, created 12/16/2003 8:18:06 PM Nero version: 6.3.1.10 Recorder: <_NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A> Version: 1.06 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.10 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <_NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A >Version: 1.06 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.10 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1600BB-00GUA0 atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : _NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off CdRomPeripheral : _NEC NR-7900A atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === _NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A D: CDRom0 _NEC NR-7900A E: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: CmdQueuing : 1 CmdNotification: 2 WriteBufferSize: 74448896 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 EraseSpeed : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 511MB (523632kB) Free physical memory: 154MB (158296kB) Memory in use : 69 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Static Write Speed Table: 0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 8.6.2005 UDF/ISO compilation 10:39:07 PM #1 DVDREALLOC -21 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 901 Required file 'VIDEO_TS.IFO' is not present 10:39:07 PM #2 DVDREALLOC -21 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 901 Required file 'VIDEO_TS.BUP' is not present 10:39:07 PM #3 Phase 117 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1841 DVD-Video files compliance test failed Existing drivers: File 'Drivers\PXHELP20.SYS': Ver=2.03.28a, size=20640 bytes, created 3/11/2005 6:28:13 PM (Prassi/Veritas driver for win 2K) File 'Drivers\atapi.sys': Ver=?.?.?.?, size=95360 bytes, created 8/3/2004 10:59:44 PM (Adapter driver for rec) Registry Keys: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)
- Nero is too old, latest is 6.6.0.16. Update Nero from here - http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php or here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm - firmware is out of date, 1.0A is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1740 - DMA needs to be ON, fix it via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm - you're doing something wrong in the dvd conversion process - those question marks aren't right, but will be sorted out when you follow the DMA fix above
I updated nero express and flashed my dvd drive, nothing. I also downloaded nerovision express, tried to make the dvd, and only sound came out on my dvd. What am I doing wrong??? the vob file plays fine by itself on my computer, so why can;t I make this damn video? Thanks for everyones help. !!
User I don't understand...I used vso divxtodvd to encode the video to vob file, shrink wont recognize it, and nero tells me the compliance failed, how can a true working vob file fail a compliance test?????? You can't just have a vob file on its own, that's what the compliance failing means. You need to convert properly. Also. Look at very end of logfile, your atapi drivers aren't correctly loaded, reload them by googling for "dma bbmayo" - follow the instructions from the first link that google provides
I understand what you mean, it needs to see those other fles. Is there another program I can use to rip the movie where the needed files will be created by the converter? Thanks again.
Yup, there's 2 free programs - dvd shrink and dvd decrypter - look in software section at top of page. There's also guides for them but they're both real easy to use. Dvd shrink is no longer updated as author now works on nero's recode product, but shrink is still brilliant, it just can't cope with the newest copy protections. Dvd decrypter is very up to date but has recently been shutdown by a very large greedy corporation. As I say both are still available in above moentioned sections. You'll also find a wealth of help/info in the various forums here.. Good luck and keep us posted with progress
