What would make Easy DVD creator software report "your DVD blank disc has insufficient space or your file is to large" and fail to burn the DVD when in fact I'm using a 4.7GB DVD-R disc and the MPEG2 file size is only 3.67GB? I'm using an external USB 2.0 Sony 510 burner and used TMPGenc plus version to encode the mpeg2 from an avi file Does it have something to do with the encoding process?
Could it be the fact that Easy DVD Creator is a pile of crap?? lol Try using Record Now deluxe: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/recordnowmax.htm

Thanx orpheus - I'll try record now max . How crappy is the sony software MYDVD - that won't let me burn either. After importing the movie to the menu and following the preparatory steps the software does, the red "burn" button grays out preventing me from starting the burn process. ( I haven't called Sony tech support yet)
