Okay i had to download something that was about 2 gig overnight so i got a Download Accelerater after the download had completed i uninstalled the Accelerater, and now im unable to download files from the internet, but when i do try to download it opens the Desktop folder when i click on the file. Also now some websites dont work (that previosly did.) If anyone could please help me it would be GREAT.

(Also the download accelerator was simply called: Internet Download Accelerater)

Where did you download it from?

Try uninstalling the accelerator and see what happens.

frankly now would e a good time to drop IE and switch to fire fox....there is no reason to cling to IE its the worst POS ever made...

this seems like a IE error witch can be fixed if you could eailsy reinstall IE....mabye updating IE or re downloading the IE update could fix this? it sounds like a registry thing

have you tried uninstalling it from safe mode?
theres a chance it could work...

DAP is not working right for me get right works better and has the ability to download from different severs/urls on the same item at the same time.I use to love gozilla back in the day but 2.0 had a horried GUI change, all for the best I guess they are spyware whores after all....

    Markdogg, i say that's bullsh*t.
Just because your connection is fast enough to get 700 kbps doesn't mean everyone else's connections also are that fast.
Most people don't get more than 250 kbps.
So next time, maybe you'd like to try and think outside of YOUR little box.

stay on topic...STAY ON TOPIC...or at least be off topic in a fun way...

and yes you cna hit 900KBS on a cable line keeping it for more than a hour is a diffrent thing, also some net speed palces go by Kbyte/bit makeign it look like you are going 900 when all you are is going 90...

this person is a nood go easy on their details KAY?

you´re best bet is to buy a program called youruninstaller! 2006.

It uninstalls (haha) but also removes all the residual files in the registry and installation folders; it'll be like you never had the program installed.

@ l3ubba : try using CCleaner, and also do a spyware scan, as most "free" download managers come with some nasty junk packed in.

@ Zippy : The guy said 700 kbPs, not kb/s, so i am assuming he meant such a high speed, which isn't exactly common.
As for going easy, i'll do that when i'm dead.

Zip, may i suggest you re-read all my posts, and then come back here and tell me where you made a slight error...
Hint : if you read my first post here properly, you'll see it wasn't aimed at the original poster.
